Dismantling Patriarchy

Please tell us about your submission (maximum 600 words)

My submission is a creative writing piece about how I would dismantle patriarchy.

What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?

What I learned about patriarchy is that it is a means in which men tend to dominate over others, especially women. Usually, men have better privileges compared to women. The world in which we live is usually male dominated, often leaving women to feel inferior and less in control. One thing I would like to change is how parents teach their young children about gender and gender roles. children are the future and I believe educating them will be the key to undoing many of the harmful structures we currently live with, including patriarchy. Patriarchy is not natural, instead it is taught from birth
