Society's Patriarchy

Please tell us about your submission (maximum 600 words)

My submission shows women at the bottom and 4 men yelling slurs and patriarchal comments above the women. At the bottom the women are holding the words up, to stand against the words and comments. The women at the bottom have words that say "I am a strong Women". "I AM A HARDWORKING WOMEN." "WOMEN ARE STRONG.""I DONT NEED TO FIT INTO MENS SOCIETY.""WOMEN CAN BE WITH WOMEN.""WOMEN ARE EQUAL."I BELONG WHERE I WANT TO BE." These words all go against the comments above showing how women. Have strength, and power. Another thing I put in was colors, purple is a color that represent women's rights, and the women figures at the bottom, are different shades of women. Representing how women of all shades are affected by patriarchy. Also the word "Women" in the comments above are purple, and the word "Men" are red to symbolize the power of men, cause thats what men use to show power.

What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?

I've learned that Patriarchy is about men putting women in their standards and where they want women to be so they don't feel inferior to women. So they can feel powerful and control. Something I would like to change is when men feel inferior to women, like were all equal. Women can do the same as men. Another thing I would like to change is how some men feel about sexuality, even though i can't change opinions. If a women likes a women then there shouldn't be a problem, if you think there is then keep it to yourself. Also, men have a problem with men liking men, let sexuality be, let people like who they like. I wish people could change how they see things from how things used to be. We're not in the 1900s or the 1800s where they would hurt someone for being gay, were in the 2020s, things like that need to change.
