Patriarchy has been a root part of much of human history. Changing this orthodox thinking will take a long time. I believe that education can be harnessed to help beat and emerge as a stronger group. Malala, being my inspiration for this piece has shown the world how strong an educated women can be and how much power she wields. I want to represent how feminism and education go hand in hand and can be an invincible force.
What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?
I learned that ancient civilization had equilateral societies were women were equals. It’s confusing how even though we commend ourselves for being a forward society, for women it seems to be opposite. I would like to change this and learn from older societies so we can create a truly forward and democratic world.
