Please note I accidentally submitted the wrong submission, please disregard. This is my final submission. For this image, I wore my sisters dress in order to show that there shouldn't be any gender roles or stigmas/perceptions on what one gender can or can't wear. I think people should wear what they feel best in.
What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?
I learned that society treats men with a lot more favor than women. This favoritism belittles woman, and femininity in general, making femininity a trait, that if a male portrays, then it is a degrading trait. I learned that society provides more opportunities for males, and that femininity is a sign of weakness if seen in males. I want to change the perception of weakness associated with femininity, this image I made is a more visible, physical representation of that idea, where I've worn clothes which many would consider to be feminine, and as a sign of weakness.
