My poetry is about the uncomfortable truth, it talks about how women suffer at the hands of men (sexually). Men still abuse women and sadly no one talks about it because there seems to be laws that govern that. Yet the laws are just on paper, it's just theoretical it is not practical.
What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?
I learnt that most men practice toxic masculinity, due to religion. "Women submit to your husbands" has led to men over practicing their role of being "head of the family" and end up sexualizing and beating up men. I want to see men providing for women as well just as religion puts it across I want to see women with equal rights practically not just theoretically, I want women to be given a chance to explore their sexual desires without being labelled.
I confirm I have read and agree to the Official Rules
