The dismantling of patriarchy

Please tell us about your submission (maximum 600 words)

My submission is a story or you could also call it an essay and it take place in the 2100s and it is about a grandmother and her son who has to do a history essay and grandmother has to explain patriarchy to him. The story takes place in the future and I want it to inspire people to work on that future and see how beautiful it would be if everyone would live in a patriarchy free society.

What is something you learned about patriarchy and what is something you would like to change about what you learned?

I have learned that Patriarchy happens because of the norms we have to conform to in society, I feel like from an early age we are told and taught that men are warriors and they are stronger and everything to do with them being superior but that would all change if we were to raise girls with better attitudes and perspectives. The only thing I would like to change is how society perceives things in terms of gender roles.
